Poor Performance of Minicars at the Test Crash

The minicars which are made by Toyota, Honda and Daimler AG, made an unfortunate performance at the crash test. And now the safety organization is suggesting the consumers to by larger cars that have comparable fuel efficiently.
The cars which have been tested are Toyota Yaris, Honda Fit and Smart fortwo, and they all have strong impact around the driver dummy while crashing. It was mentioned in the report which was released today by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
A non-profit group funded by auto insurers said that, the drivers of all three cars have the high risk of head and leg injuries after the test impact of 40mph.
The report sure creates the doubt about the safety of minicars at the same time as it is still been developed by several automakers for North America. CEO of Volkswagen Group of America, Stefan Jacoby said last week,
VW would consider bringing its European Up minicar brand to the U.S. in future years.
Safe option and fuel economy
The minicars are fuel economy cars and now they are unsafe, it’s time for you to look for an option. The group recommended that the consumer should look for something large which provides more safety then mini or micro autos. The best they came up with, keeping fuel economy in mind are VW Jetta diesel, the Toyota Camry hybrid and the Ford Fusion hybrid.
However, the thing is people don’t always drive minicars for fuel economy. There are also other reasons such as price, parking handiness and also for fun.
